For some reason, all these WWII cartoons were taken out of distribution here in the US as being "racist".  Germans and Italians aren't racees.  The ones portraying the Japanese probably started that movement.  Hell, it is history, but the revisionists have changed all that. My oldest son called me out as a racist for the words "Japs" and " Nips".

Here in the UK we used to have picture comics called Commando, they were war stories, you got all sorts , Naval, Army, Air force, in all theatres of warfare, it was common practise for them to use NIPS ,JAPS, KRAUTS, JERRIES, SQUAREHEADS, EYETIES, YANKEES, YANKS, RUSSKiES, FROGS, FROGGEYS,FRENCHIES CHINKS, CHINKIES, LIMEYS, AUSSIES, and no-one bothered about it, because it was describing war time phrases that were used on a daily basis back then
