WW1 Scapa Flow German Naval Grouping.

Here are some photos of a super World War One German Naval grouping taken from a German Sailor at Scapa Flow. I was lucky enough to be in an antique shop near where I lived at the time, when an old boy walked into the shop to sell this grouping. The old boy was a Veteran from WW2 and is probably dead now, anyway his father was in the British Navy during World War one and he was stationed on the Hindustan and later transferred to the Royal Sovereign and while he was on the Royal Sovereign at the end of WW1 his ship was part of the escort that lead the German fleet into Scapa Flow, this grouping was taken from the German sailor before the SMS Grosser Kurfuerst was scuttled along with the rest of the German fleet.

Here is a link to see information on the Hindustan

The German sailor was stationed on the SMS Breslau and then The SMS Grosser Kursfuerst and he was on that ship when it was lead to Scapa Flow.

Here is a link that has information about the end of the German fleet scuttled at Scapa Flow.

The box that holds all the items appears to be for Delfinos cigars or cigarettes? and has a name written inside that appears to be different to other the paperwork.

Photo six translates to "for German Hero"

Can anyone read the mans name on these documents that appear to be for his Iron Cross ii and his War Service Cross 2nd class.

Photos 17 and 18 are the remains of the Ottoman War Medal.
