pylon1357
As a collector of Irish Regiment of Canada items, part of my collection is of course those units raised by the Irish Regiment. In regards to WWI those would be the 180th Sportsman Battalion and the 208th Irish Overseas Battalion. Neither battalion saw service as a unit during the Great War. I picked up a rather interesting little badge last week at the Ottawa Militaria Show and Sale. I have never seem anything like this before in regards to my chosen battalions. It is quite small, smaller than a collar badge. It appears unfinished as it has no fastening device on the reverse. NOTE the word BOOSTER, indicating a supporting group of sorts. Guest Fred Karno's Army
Do you think it's a sweetheart piece @pylon1357 ?.
pylon1357
Possibly a sweetheart item but with BOOSTER embossed on it, I take this to be a supporters pin. I have never seen an item quite like this and it intrigues me greatly,
