Todd A. Raffensperger
After careful consideration, I decided to get the 1/600 Airfix kit of the HMS Hood, and build it to commemorate the 75th anniversary of her famous engagement with the Bismarck. I chose Airfix because I have my doubts about the quality in Heller's kit, and I've come to mistrust the Trumpeter company and it's obsession with photoech parts, which I hate. I've ordered it on ebay and it should be here in time for my birthday. I hope Airfix is the right choice.
Davejb
You cant go far wrong with Airfix models, but remember that all models are never 100% accurate, especially when dealing with ships of that scale. In general they are as accurate as a modeller will be happy with but there are many minute details that might have been omitted because of moulding problems in that size.
