Mitter2k1
Hello everyone. Here is another great uniform set I recently picked up and this one in particular has most of the bells and whistles one could ask for. The set consists of tunic, breeches, overseas cap, and a Sam Browne belt, all of which are named. I have been able to do some research and find quite a bit of info about the soldier and I will include the information below. The coat is a French tailor made uniform featuring the "Essayon" engineer buttons made by Maurice Bourdon in Paris. There is one overseas stripe and the typical honorable discharge chevron. The overseas cap is tailor made as well and features red and white engineer piping which is not too common. But enough with the info about the set, here is a short write-up I put together of his service. Thanks for looking, Mike 1st Lieutenant Henry Christian Cronemeyer, Beaver, Pennsylvania Company C, 28th Engineer Regiment (Quarry), United States Army Born January 30, 1877 to William C. and Caroline (Breuninger) Cronemeyer Commissioned June, 1917 Engineer Officer’s Training Camp from Sept. 2, 1917 to Dec. 3, 1917 307th Engineer Regiment from Dec. 10, 1917 to Jan. 19, 1918 28th Engineer Regiment from Jan. 21, 1918 to Oct. 17, 1918 H.Q.
