Mitter2k1
Here is what I have for loose WWI Division patches. First up the 33rd Division from my home state of Illinois. There are a number of variations to this patch and I will explain them as I go. Felt on Felt Felt cutout overlaid on cloth Full Embroidered on Wool. The wool itself is very similar if not made from the same flannel material used for the shirts. Embroidered on Felt. This one may be closer to mid-1920s, but it is an interesting example nonetheless. Bullion Tape on Wool. These are one of two variations of bullion patches for the 33rd. The other being the fine wire wrap style. I was not able to scan that one due to possible crushing and ruining it. I will dig it out at some point and photograph it for reference.
