This has been handed in to our local charity shop.

Photos are further down the thread below, now that I've taken some.

Does anyone know if its rare/interesting/sought after.

Thanks

Richard

If its a WW1 item in good condition, then yes its a relatively rare piece, these things did,nt wear all that well out in the trenches. It would be a good idea to actually show the one that was handed in, so it can be gauged re condition and  possible value, also if the optics are good or bad, any makers names, or district names of manufacture etc

I've taken some photos of the Monoculaire, the tripod and the box.

The optics appear clean, but inside the swivelling head, there are three 'prisms?' that look as if they should be glued together but the 100 year old glue has given up, so someone clever would have to sort that out.

I haven't tried to move the tripod head. Again, I'd leave that to someone skilled in the art of WD40.
