Manu Della Valle
Here I am again with a beautiful, worn but not abused,1943-dated M43 made of the now famous mid-War Italian "nettle cloth",i.e.recycled wool with a fairly high contents of nettle fibers, and this cap has quite a few untreated and undyed fibers showing embedded in the weave. It's worn but I would call it near-mint. I particularly like its four-hole buttons which are original to it. It mustn't have either been comfortable or fresh to wear,in fact between the cloth and the lining there's a fairly high reinforcement made of either waterproof cheesecloth or rubberised paper clearly defined by the sweat marks,it's a 100% perfect match to a M43 and a M44 feldbluse in my collection!
