Heer M43 Einheitsfeldmutze,1944-dated

Recommended Posts

Back to M43s from my collection. This one is another "Italian Vet" which will be appreciated by our friends who prefer caps that have seen action over "depot queens"...and I'm one of those collectors.

It's dated 1944 and made of some 1944 cloth with a distinctive olive-brownish shade to it.The lining is made of a blueish-green artificial silk commonly found on late-war M43 and M44 uniforms.

The insigna is beautifully zig-zag sewn and the thread retains its original color where repaired from the sunlight by the earcover.

It retains most of its nap but the blue-painted buttons have lost 99% of their original colour.

Tchees

@Manu Della Valle first off great M-43 I love the trap on this particular example classic zig zag sewing are the pull downs still intact for the flaps...

Now as to the images posting in the wrong order once you upload them you will notice a plus sign in the bottom right corner of each image....take the cursor of your mouse and click it where you want to place the images in your thread then click on the plus sign it will put them in the order that you want ....

Super item Manu,

Bet it was a bit hot inside and itchy for the head!

Thanks..Ian

I can’t wear it for my jug is a 58 whereas this cap is a 55 but it screams “itchiness”,even if the one made of  nettlecloth is even coarser!

@Manu Della Valle the other method that I used for a few posts till I figured it out was to post everything in reverse hence the first image you post becomes the last seen in the thread ...A but unconventional but at least they will post in the order you want..
