Manu Della Valle
One of the latest M43 in my collection courtesy of my wallet and Antonio Scapini. It's incredibly mint so it would be deemed a Czech fake over at dome dying forum but I like it nonetheless. It comes from an old collection and when items remain unmolested for years like this cap that's what you'll end up with in the end. It's made of a green shade of Feldgrau with a slight hue of brown to it,The same cloth many M43 feldblusen are made of. The lining is made of iron-gray artificial silk and it's stamped with a RBNr,the size and it's 1944-dated. The t-shaped National Insigna is sewn as a trap and the wooden Italian buttons are similar to the ones made of corozo found on many begmutzen but this one is NOT a bergmutze devoid of its edelweiss,it's "just" a magnificent M43 which is virtually mint and with 100% of its nap left. You can compare the best made repro cap out there to a time-capsule like this one any time you like but the former will never "talk" to you like the latter....providing you can “hear it talking to you”, of course.😏 When I read comments like "it's too new!" or "it's too shiny!" I'm more and more convinced that many people should take on another hobby or be ready to be ripped off with artificially aged fakes!Of course, mint originals are getting rarer and rarer and demand a premium but they're still out there!
