Manu Della Valle
I don’t think I’ve already posted it but at any rate, here’s an ABSOLUTELY MINT WH-Issue M40 combat tunic. This tunic is one of the most beautiful I've ever owned and seen since it's in the exact conditions as it was when it was first issued to the soldier. The buttonholes are still very stiff and some of the buttons still have wafer-thin dried-up paint at their lower edge which would have fell off with a few hours of wear. The only time-inflicted damage is a 2mm moth hole but nothing that would detract from this beauty! It's made of one of the shades of Feldgrau typical of tunics, trousers and greatcoats produced in 1940/41.It comes with a lot of interesting details, such as the name of the producer (Josef Frassine,a maker of top-end tunics since the XIX Century) stamped on the internal dressing pocket and it's Depot-stamped WB41 for Wiesbaden. A button is missing but upon searching into the pockets (I ALWAYS rifle my tunics' pockets for papers and such)I've found it inside one of them, along with a few more interesting things such as two small pieces of paper with two names (most likely the inspectors!) AND two shoulder boards, one in each of the lower pockets, piped blue for Transports! I don't want to speculate as to why those boards were there, but that's where they'll stay...with the button! I've had many M34/35/36/40 tunics in my collection and seen and handled an awful lot of them but the ones I've found (and kept) with their original internal suspenders are rare and far between and this is one of those! It's absolutely untouched and by holding it in your hands you’d tell that it’s really something else, for it's disgustingly mint but NOT "Kammerfrish" to an extent it has never seen the daylight,it's stiff, heavy, beautiful and all kind of things! Hope you'll enjoy! Edited October 7, 2018 by Manu Della Valle

Davejb
No sorry, its an awful looking jacket, too perfect, plus theres a button missing, but if you want to ever get rid of it, I suppose I could find room for it somewhere in the house, I could ask the wife to vacate the bedroom so it can lay beside me, I,ll cross its arms so it looks as if its sleeping with me, but its only because I,ll be taking pity on it, no more than that🙄
