Whsammler
I agree 100% Alperator that is a killer set up. Great to see all the accessories etc in place & hooked up. This is why I love collecting tech....its more that just a display. You can get it working & actually use it! Glen 1

Alperator
the inverter EW. b is fed by the collector 2 B 38, I converted the 2B38 to a new battery. the inverter EW. c is powered by a 12 Volt battery. The Torn. E. b I can also operate via transformer. Greetings Albert http://der-fernmelder.de/

val
@Alperator- have you measured now how long your Torn.E.b works with that self-made 2B38 battery (using EW.b)?

Alperator
@ Val - I operated the EW. b for approx. 1.5 h with the battery 2 V 10 AH, no problem. Then I switched off, I did not want to load the chopper cartridge (Zerhackerpatrone) too long. 2
Desert Rat
You clever men confuse me, But I appreciate your many helpful comments and images ...all to do with communications, many of us including me seem to forget how very important these communications were during two World Wars, without that inspiration from the very early pioneers...I think we in the UK and other countries would have been lost without it! Thanks to you all for enlightening us on MCN with your superb knowledge and images. Very best Wishes to you all....Desert Rat
val
@Alperator at the end of this page you can see a modern switching power supply for Torn.E.b http://lucafusari.altervista.org/page1/page3/TornEB.html It shows how far the electronics have developed.
