Major General Bil4338 Posted March 2, 2016 Author Major General Share Posted March 2, 2016 Postwar.formed in 1965 as a reserve to back up and serve with the regular army.their only foreign service came about in Nov.'65 in Aden for six months.eventually disbanded in 1967, so I'm assuming these patches, especially the title, are pretty scarce. As is usual in the forces, they were rapidly nicknamed the 'ever readies'.

Davejb
My eldest cousin was a TAER and served in Aden, he had a lucky escape when a terrorist threw a grenade into the back of a three tonner, it bounced all the way down the mens boots, out the back and exploded in front of the next truck injuring the driver and a Sergeant, The terrorist was brought down by the Bren gunner in the third vehicle
