Spez. 445 b Bs

This just arrived.   I haven't really seen another one for sale for a very long time, so decided to pick it up.   The external wires are all falling apart, so will have to be replaced.   Funksammler, I know you have one, what do the wire connectors look like?

Mine had the battery cabling replaced as well. I assume they used the standard "Spreizstecker" connectors for the anode batteries as with the Torn.E.b and other battery powered equipment. Great find, I absolutely love this pre-war stuff!

It will look nice with either the 5WS or the 100WS.  Was there a configuration number for the Spez. and either of those transmitters?

Yes, just FU9 and FU11 as with the Torn.E.b. You need to find a nice early 5 W.S.:

What was your antenna setup?

They would have used a Steckmast with "Schirmantenne" 3/3:

Unfortunately I did not have the space to install the radials in my setup, but you get the idea:

Yuri, when you start repairing your 445Bs, make a lot of images.

There are so few inside images of this pre-war stuff.

Val - I definitely will.  And will post them here and on my site.

Thank you Funksammler for the nice photos of the kit.   The poles look mint condition.  Did you find them this way, or did you restore them?

What's interesting is that this receiver was made by both Lorenz and Telefunken.

That's a good one to have.  I've got two other ones myself.
