dufleuve
Both connectors now attached to the cable. The power connection between KdoG40 and Betriebschaltkasten is ready ! Anyone has those devices to test ? 😀 I'm still looking for a cable of 46 to 60 conductors, 17-18mm diameter, rubber or rubber like, 30 and/or 60 meter long. Cheers

dufleuve
Testing the Feuerglocke. The firing bell was located on the Flak gun. It was used to give the go fire or other instructions. It could be activated from the Kommandogerät, from the Verteilerkasten or from the Fernsprechgerät fur Kommandozwecke. I used obviously the Verteilerkasten 12V sammler connection to provide the needed DC voltage for the bell. Ubertragungsleitung 37b is connecting Geschütz IV to the Flak gun Anschlusskaten. The firing bell circuit uses both pins 23 (ground) and 5 (12v neg). The connector next to the 12v sammler is used to close the circuit and activate the bell. I unfortunately cannot let you enjoy the sweet sound of the little bell 😀 1
dufleuve
Happy New Year Folks !! Latest addition to the Flak connectors: the 24HS renkstecker bakelite model. It is a dug out according to seller, but quite well preserved. The cover was still locked on it, so the connecting pins were protected from rust. In last picture, you can see the size difference with the 46HS model. Some more dismantling and cleaning needed. Will proceed in the coming days. 1

dufleuve
Hello folks, Last addition to the flak direction system. The battery box for the Kommandogerät 40 betriebschaltkasten. It holds three 12v batteries to provide the 36V DC for the Kommandogerät. A bit of the original paint left on the cover, but I will have it sandblasted after removal of all the fittings. I'm still looking after the KdoG40 manual to have the complete description of it. Cheers
dufleuve
Hello folks, I finally got an example of the female 10 pins connector, alas in bad shape. At least, I know now what to look for. See the male plug alongside for comparison.
dufleuve
Some differences in the covers for the 46HS Renkdose. With screwed on top or flat top.
dufleuve
Also the bakelite Renkstecker 46HS show some differences. I got a relic that is a kind of black hard plastic instead of the usual brown composite.

Good evening , my name is Klaus and I'm from Germany. I am only since today in your forum. I have been restoring a Flak 8.8 (Flak 37-1942) for 2 years and still need the parts shown. Can someone help ? I would be happy to hear from you. best regards Klaus

dufleuve
Hello folks, I found the right cable to rebuild the 5m Ubertragungsleitung 37. It is 20,5 mm in diametre and holds 40 pairs of conductors. The original cable uses 66 conductors as some pins use two conductors I made a first try with a restored 46 HS bakelit renkstecker. Soldering the 66 conductors is challenging, will have to improve the workbench and preparation of the various cables. Here is the result. You see the Renkstecker is a heavily rebuild ground dug. Did not want to commit a good one to this first try. Next step is to restore a second HS46 Renkstecker to complete the cable. I'll then probably order a bigger lenght of cable to build the 30m version with better preserved connectors. Again, if you have those connectors or parts in any shape, I'm interested.
