Hi Val,

acc to Funksammler in "German line communications equipment of WW2" (PDF) it is simply "cable cart for Schweres Feldfernkabel".

But I also found it in www.nachrichtentruppe.de/ labeled as "Wagenspule". I can't say which one is the more appropriate (if ever or at all) term.

It is for sure not a "Nachrichtengerätekarren".

Regards

I'd love to see some survived/restored one in close.

"Verlegewagen für Feldfernkabel"

my english is very bad, I hope Funksammler can explain this better.
Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of the Verlegewagen, only of the cable drum for Feldfernkabel.

beautiful pictures of the Verlegewagen are also in the book of:

Jean-Francois Massieu

"La Telephonie Militaire Allemande 1935 - 1945"

thank you very much for the new pictures.

I'm sure @ezesar allows to put those pictures on you website.

It would be nice if all the important info about FFK is at one place.

@ezesar:
I may see your pictures of the Verlegewagen on my website
Publish?, of course with your name and source.
Then almost all important information on the topic of Feldfernkabel is summarized.

@val, Thanks for the tip.

here I would like to insert the pictures:
