Kabeltrommel WW2 or not ?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Got this kabeltrommel with a bunch of ww2 features, but no markings I could find on the drum or the frame.
Drum has the same construction as Flak kabeltrommel, but about 10 cm smaller in diameter and 10 cm bigger in length.
Color is Luftwaffe grey, the holder on the side is very much like any wehrmacht tool holder.

What do you think ?

Well,
After a second careful examination, I found a marking in a rusted over zone

R.T.
1942

No acceptance stamp (yet ?).

Hi,

I've got the same thing! Did you ever find out what it is? And where did you find the R.T. 1942 stamp?

Hello,

Found it on the side where the handle is.
Bottom right hand when you look at the picture.

I'm mostly now on FB group WW2 german signals and communications.

Cheers

Hi Val,

Sorry, a bit late, but here are some pictures of my cable drum. Mine has a code: fcd43. I can't link this three letter code to a German manufacturer unfortunately. I got mine from an Austrian collector. Did you ever find out what it is, and which army used it?

Gr Al
