Recommended Posts

This particular helmet was used by the Marines and not the infantry...it is sporting the plastic chin-cup and 8-shaped hardware with factory light olive green, matte, IR paint ( " Infra-Red ").'
The liner is of Spanish origins as well and is nicely marked with the Fedur stamp series C
US M1 later type liner and headband, Overlapping fabric with buckle with adjustments at the ends.
Liner straps consist of -A-yokes with single fabric straps and chin-cup and are fastened with a roller friction buckle and a rectangular nape strap that has been fitted at three points..
Helmet body has a two piece fabric strap with plastic chin-cup figure 8 style fastener plus two large pop studs as a safety release...

Well thats one hell of a lid Mark, what period, Vietnam, or later, the webbing looks a lot later than war time and I notice that there is no fixed rim as such, ie no front or back gaps in the rim

Cheers @Davejb and yes you are correct this particular helmet is a post Vietnam era example with this particular type of liner with chin strap set version " C" , which incorporated the A frame type of suspension as seen clearly in images 1 and 2 above,  Its lineage can be traced back to the early 1980's and were used by the Spanish Marines and Paratrooper Brigades..
