Funksammler
Late in the war Panzer Generals rode into battle using a Sd.Kfz.251/3 IV "Kommandofunkwagen" which contained the FU11SE100 and FU12SE80 radio sets. The attached document tells the story of a radio frame from such a vehicle dug up on Hill 112 in Normandy. Research indicates that the rack most likely came from the command vehicle of the most senior panzer General in the battle of Normandy, Geyr von Schweppenburg. His vehicles were destroyed during the famous air raid on his HQ at la Caine, the location of which was discovered due to an Enigma decrypt by Bletchley Park.
