Björn
Here is a well used, but still nice condition uniform from my collection. This set is proberbly the set that I have used the longest time to collect the different parts for. I bought the trousers for this set in the summer of 1994. I remember it well, because my parents went on holiday to france that summer, and I was home alone. The belt I bought from another Norwegian collector somewhere between 1995-1998. The breadbag and bayonet was bought around the year 2000. The cap and the boots were bought in 2008-09. The jacket I got in a trade in 2012. So I completed this set, with matching wear and condition only 18 years after I got the trousers. Here are some more detailed pictures. The jacket is in quite a large size, and depot stamped at Erfurt in 1939 It is in worn, but quite good condition. The Sidecap, Schiffchen is a early model. It has the first type of cloth eagle and cocade in white thread on light gray backing. The light gray backing has almost faded to white as well. The leather belt is 1937 dated, with a 1938 dated depot stamp. The belt buckle is 1937 dated. Good length on the belt as well, 102 centimeters. And the stone gray M36 trousers. And in 2016 I found a mannequin that this uniform fits on. A large soldier measuring 192 centimeters from head to toe. It came out quite good I think. 2
Richard Auld
Bjorn, nice stuff you have posted today! I have lost interest at the moment due to the intense commercialism on most of these sites (not here)! I managed a few weeks on WAF but had a bit of an outburst at a 'puppet' moderator and all the tossers closed ranks even though it was quite transparent on the thread in question that Boonanzier was bigging up a German dealer that just happens to sponsor him on his site? People need to wise up about WAF and WRF. I was thinking the best best model site is GHW2 without sponsors but even that has had a bit of a bumpy ride of late. The sheep are being steered toward the dealers and scant interest in history from the people doing the pushing even that twat that Stevens is only on WAF to push his sales at auction? Crazy but so it is! I am focusing on getting more stuff! Had a good week! Best Rich
Björn
Thanks Rich I know exactly what you mean. I do have a members account at WAF, but I hardly ever post anything there. I was, for a while, attending militaria discussion groups on facebook but I lost interest due to the beforementioned sheepheard with no really interest in history, only monetary value of different items, and how much they can earn on peddling just about everything. Like you, Rich, I am focusing on finding more stuff to complete the various uniforms and field gear in my collection. Best Regards Björn 1

Yes @Desert Rat, He's a Russian Blue. I posted him here because in 2 of Bjorn's photos you can see his cat resting comfortably in the back ground.
