Wehrpass and wound badge doc.

This is one of my favorite Items. It is a wehrpass and Wound badge award for Leutnant Helmut Wagner. He was 16 when he joined the Army in 1935 . He was with the 104th infantry , was a member of the Afrika Korps, and later saw action on the Russian front. I have been able to translate much of it. And had had much help from my good friend Gary Guinn who sadly passed away. But it is an item I am proud to have.

Yes they go for quite a bit now, the more info and such in them, the more the value.

Nice pass, some cheeky entries, like the late entry of the cuff band!

Best

Rich

Hello,

As far as I remember - Robert Shaw - was the Panzer "Boss", but the tune was very memorable, but I am sure most of the tanks used in the film were Shermans ???? Not sure at all if they could find enough "Running/ Working Tigers or Panthers for the film???.....( then with a different paint job to distinguish Friend from foe)

Thanks for the links.....to hear both the songs

Best to you Ian

The German tanks were American M47 Pattan tanks and the American tanks were M24 Chaffee tanks, none of them looked like the real  deal, the German tanks were suppose to be  King Tigers and the American tanks were suppose to be Shermans
