IIAND Posted August 2, 2021 Share Posted August 2, 2021 I would not claim to have much that was rare in my collection but this is a scarcely encountered item. On the left is an original Allied safe conduct leaflet. These were air dropped or shell fired over German positions to try and persuade German troops to surrender. On the right is a rather rare German response to these leaflets. The Germans copied the Allied leaflet and altered the text. This response was fired back over Allied positions (hence the charring on the actual item). Who says the Germans don't have a sense of humour?
