Richard Auld
Looks like someone has been playing with wax on scrap paper? Have you found anything about the unit on Lexicon der Wehrmacht? Rich
val
I have serious doubts about that stamp originality. This paper is type of the punch card, they were meant to be machine processable. That stamp would seriously prevent that. https://sites.google.com/site/calculatinghistory/home/an-early-it-disaster https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Postcheque-_en_Girodienst And card itself...very well preserved for ww2 era. This one is from 1975. Compare.
Phalt
Hi, and thank you. The stamp itself was found by a member of XXX Corps British Army during 1944. The card is of no consequence. The finder kept the stamp and used it after the war to seal personal papers.
