Herer M43 Einheitsfeldmutze made of Italian Gabardine

Beautiful, mint Heer M43 Einheitsfeldmutze made of Italian Gabardine cloth. It comes with a trap which was made without the black ring due to an issue to the machine that made the roll it had been cut from.I've never seen another like that and I don't think it's some sort of "low viz" trap because the red center would stick out like a forest of sore thumbs anyway!
In 1944/45 such a detail wouldn't have been enough to render its make "unsatisfactory"!It's full of neat details.
Cheers
Manu

I love the Italian fabric and it's rare to see a Heer cap made from it. A beautiful cap! :)

Hi @BenVK,

so glad to see you here!Yes,M43s made of Italian Cordellino (that's the right name for this kind of cloth) are very rare, especially so one coming with a "different" trap!

Cordellino, I like that name!

Yeah, that "unfinished" trap is very unique, I've never seen another either.

he usual "know-it-all" said that it was a "low viz trap"...yeah...right....as if the red dot in a bigger white roundel wasn't prominent enough!:grenade:
