Great Images Dermot,

My Dad had to do the same getting burnt bodies and remains of the tank crew out of after a battle, he had to pick up the tanks with the tank transporter he drove, back to base, cleaned out, repaired for the next battle.....It was horrendous to put body parts in canvas bags and pass them out to the rest of the British crew....The smell must have been sickening as well....Terrible but that was part of his job in the 8th Army.
