Very rare original M-1927 Soviet cavalry cap

Original M-1927 Soviet colored cavalry visor cap; blue/red/white color combination for personnel not assigned to a particular regiment. Authorized from 1927 to 1929 before all cavalry was standardized on a single khaki/black/blue color scheme. Purchased in 1992/93 via a museum in Uzbekistan following collapse of USSR. Very solid. Visor hand-stitched to band; brass-topped buttons undated and secured with thread. Chinstrap made of older material with stitched sliders. Cap has bottom piping in white, although red bleeding from band somewhat obscures the white. Original M-1922 star; although I cannot verify if it was refinished sometime in the past. Approx. size 57.  Price: $650
