Can anyone help identify this charger?

Hi

my uncle recently died and we are going through his things, I have come across a charger for a radio I believe. It’s a Varta fast charge unit British army late 80s early 90s. I have contacted Varta to see if the can identify it but got no further forward.

  • It was made for the NATO force
  • The greenish color represents military equipment
  • The charging unit is not complete (see empty cable compartment on the left)
  • The strain relief on the charging connector is missing
  • The power plug indicates an English (GB) version
  • Almost all military chargers were manufactured in Hagen (for lead and NiMH batteries) à the company no longer exists

if anyone can shed some light it would be appreciated.
