That's a wood pore-filler laquer to treat the wood before painting...it could have been used for Me163s,Arados,Gothas,He162s and even Oma Heidi's rocking chair after the War or if her hubby happened to work at a nearby LW facility!
"Dicklack" in red means that it was thick and needed thinning!

P.S.;can I post your picture on a modelling page?

Looks like a milk churn but it's a paint container instead!

If I may, I would like to add something on the paint label mentioned earlier:

Flieglack 7138.-  reads as Aero lacquer #7138. The "-" after the four digits indicates this is a transpart, non colored or clear medium and could also be expressed as ".00"

The "Flieglackkette 33" is a system or group of paints that are to be applied according to the purpose. In this case (Flieglackkette 33) is for fireproofing of wooden surfaces. There were ca. 10 different Flieglackketten directely relating to use and purpose, e.g. for internal, external, metal, wood, fabric, plastic, firepoofing, anti corrosion,  for land and or sea based aircraft.

This means 7138.- is a wood pore filler (sanding sealer) with a side effect of also fireproofing wooden surfaces. These surfaces could then be top coated with e.g. (for the He162 wing surfaces) a polyvinyl chloride based lacquer 7115.81, 7115.82 or 7115.76.

The term "Dicklack" refers to a highly thixothrope medium (lacquer base) that had to thinned down according to e.g. the used spray nozzle and spraying pressure.

Hello Chris,

At last a sensible answer, all we have to is print it out- go to Google Translate - and wait for the answer.

But you have answered it and I agree.....Many Thanks for the info.

Best to you.....Desert Rat

I forgot to mention the following:

In my example for the possible topcoat of this primer, the two digits after number 7115 indicate hereby the colors of this topcoat. 76 is a light (sky-) blue, 82 is a dark green and 81 can be a brown or green depending on the source.

There is also the term "unbrennbar" which means "not flammable or not combustable". I don't know how this may or may not relate to the signage underneath this label.

I found an article, referring to some war time paint cans found in 2008 in the Czech Republic.

http://www.letletlet-warplanes.com/2008/07/01/luftwaffe-paints-new-discoveries/

On the first photo, the last line could likely read: Fa. Ick, Danzig as in Ick Company of/ from Danzig.

Little by little, we are getting somewhere. Only, I don't know where "somewhere" is or will be...
