DAK D
Hi All, An new five pound note featuring Winston Churchill on the reverse will be coming into circulation this September and it's made from polymer to help the fight against counterfeit bank notes. Apparently these bank notes will survive in the washing machine, but a very hot iron won't do them much good at all. Winston Churchill had his faults, but there is no doubt in my mind he was the man of the hour when Brittan needed him and this new note is a fitting tribute. pylon1357
Interesting. I think this note looks very nice in deed. Here in Canada, our Bills are all that plastic stuff now. Pretty durable, Just have to be careful and not over pay, the bills sometimes cling together, but it is no different from the old paper bills when brand new. I recall us having a lot of worries and concerns in regards to this new material for our bills, so far they all seem unwarranted. Again, the design of this is very nice.
