ahrtal
This is just a nice grouping that I acquired many years ago, unfortunately after his untimely death. Robert A. Bauman was a friend of ours by way of his son, who was a career Army Officer. The grouping consists of Robert Bauman's 1st Lt.'s uniform, with all original insignia. As a lieutenant, he was a Platoon Leader, then Company Commander of "L" Co.354th IR, with promotion to Captain following. He was awarded a Bronze Star Medal as a 1st Lt. leading a Company, and Armored Task Force during the final days of WWII (19 April 1945). I remember his passing in January 1982. His wife and son were visiting us, and we received a phone call that he had had a massive heart attack. He was one Hell of a great guy. I was very lucky to have known him.
