Norrie
Hiya, picked this up many years ago, and its sat on the shelf since then...the only reason I've kept hold of it cos it is unmarked.......can anyone tell me why it's unmarked? @Steve T..... Its internal dia is 20mm, base OD is 30mm and full length its 103mm long. Its got internal crimp marks and NO marks on the base. A guy told me once it could have been used as a "blank" for bringing down snow on the mountains....sounds feasable I s'pose...:)
Steve T
You sure it's not 102 or 105mm long? Looks like a standard 20x102 to me.... 20x102 - American cartridge, probably the most widely used 20mm round in service today, due to the fact that it is chambered in the M61 (Vulcan) "gatling" rotary cannon fitted to US fighters, the naval Phalanx close-in weapon system, and some AA vehicles. The 20x102 was often ink stamped on the cartridge body rather than headstamped.

Steve T
No problem. Reckon that's it then....20x102:) Sounds daft but try freezing it. Take it out and look at the case before the frost forms.....sometimes brings out the ink stamp, if there's anything left of it.
