Boonie Stomper
I got a good deal on this M1911 mag pouch. Later when I tried to put 1911 mags in, one went in further than the other. I found paper crumpled in the bottom, removed it, & SURPRISE!! I flattened it out & mounted on a card for display. Advice: check the pouches & pockets of the gear in your collection. There may be a surprise for you.

Davejb
Yes I fully agree, I have always checked inside any uniform ,helmet or pouches that I,ve bought or been given, I,ve been lucky twice, the first was a WW1 M16 helmet, one of the Horse hair padded pouches felt different to the other two, I opened it up and instead of horse hair there was a period dated full page newspaper , could,nt read a word of it but it was a great find, the other was a German Luftwaffe nurses uniform all blue and a nice white cotton eagle, but one of the pockets had a piece of paper inside, it was the nurses name "Hartmann". But a mate of mine had what would say was a real corker, a, m35 helmet, and behind the liner a First class Iron cross pinned to the rear inside liner. Your find is great, its not all that often that paper of that age survives in such good condition
