Afrikakorpsrat64
Did some cleaning, as we have a holiday and work has stopped this week. Trying to better display some new helmets. Still need to get a standing Mannequin to better display the tropical breeches. Edited November 21, 2018 by Afrikakorpsrat64 1
Desert Rat
Nice collection there Tony, Hope you find the mannequin should be easy at a reasonable price. What about EB USA....should get one on there. Look forward to seeing more. Can either you or Dave tell me if this is original Cammo on this helmet I have? As I was told by the French Brocante dealer, from WW1 and all original paint? Many Thanks & Best to you both....Ian

Maybe @Bil4338 or @Davejb can shed some light. Cheers my friend.
Major General Bil4338 Posted November 24, 2018 Major General Share Posted November 24, 2018 I don’t like the paint, looks too recent and freshish rust always a bad sign.having said that the photos are pretty bad so could be a lot different in the cold light of day🤔
Davejb
I,m going with Bil on this one, I,ve never seen a Cammo like the first one, The idea of cammo is to disguise the helmet, not make it a target, the paint work does look "Fresh" on both, but I ve seen some cammos that look like new yet they are completely genuine, I would also like to see the interiors to see if the colours match as to the initial coating, also a lot depends on prices, if wholly genuine these would command pretty high prices, but that is no clear indication as to the authenticity of the paint
Desert Rat
Thanks to you all for your reply, Thinking about it Dave...that would make a good target for any enemy let alone a sniper, so not sure, will send inside shell images Many Thanks..Ian
