Desert Rat
Hello Mach, Welcome to MCN a great Military Website. There are quite a few specialists in the UK and probably more in the EU. Just type into Google - what you are looking for and I am sure you will find many, there is one near me D & B Militaria where my sten gun was deacativated, and I beleive they sell what you are looking for. Let us know how you get on, as we don't know if you live in the UK or not? Best to You....Desert Rat/ Ian Me firing a "Live" Sten gun bought in France firing it down by the river in St Germain in the Ardeche, (This sten was dropped by parachutage to the SOE and FFI) also by the Memorial to two Maquis caught by the S.S. and execeuted on this same spot - one was 19 years old the other 39. MACH 2
Thanks "Desert Rat" for welcoming me to the forum. I am not in the UK and getting stuff from the UK is becoming expensive since brexit has kicked in. Edited March 1, 2021 by MACH 2
Desert Rat
Hello Mach, It's not so expensive to send Worldwide, it all depends if your country allows certain Military Items.....There lies the big problem! I have a few contacts in the UK and EU who could try and find what you are looking for. Please send list of the items you want. Best to you.....Desert Rat/ Ian Edited March 1, 2021 by Desert Rat correction to text
Desert Rat
Hello Mach, I have just realised there is a massive Military Display in - Ciney- Belgium, I think, in September every year, and as far as I know you can buy anything (with the correct ticket?/papers etc) look on Google for when it is on. Best to you Desert Rat/ Ian
MACH 2
Mauser K98 for starters. With covid still very much in the news hard to imagine any events happening like a military display. Edited March 3, 2021 by MACH

Desert Rat
Hello Mach, Rather than me get involved in this, with all due respect it would be better for you to have a look on Google and find out....sorry it's beyond my assistance. Best to you and - Good Luck.......Desert Rat
Desert Rat
Just as Dave has replied.....There are quite a few dealers in Belgium that can supply deact's, that would be your best place to try, there are Military shops in Ypres and I know the owners, but go to Google.....you will find them. When I was there last year 2-3 shops gave me phone numbers to contact dealers....but I cannot bring them back to the UK.....That;s the way it is Best to you....Desert Rat/ Ian Edited March 4, 2021 by Desert Rat correction to text
MACH 2
Any of ye guys know why deactivated firearms have appreciated in value the last few years.
Desert Rat
Hello Mach, From my own opinion they are getting very rare to find as many are in collections and Museums....My sten gun was valued at £1, 200 but after the deact I sold it for £600 and it cost me much more in France as was a machine gun that could fire. So, it all depends on what you want etc??? Best to you....Desert Rat/ Ian
Davejb
Deacts are plentyfull if to go to the right places, The War and Peace show here in the UK was full of them, granted they have become more expensive but there are bargains to be had,but they do appear to be more expensive in the EU
