is an air Ministry film of the training of an RAF cadet as an electronics technician.
Cadet ‘Winston’ is shown passing through recruit training and serving at RAF Akrotiri. His personal life is featured in some detail. At Akrotiri base, air control radar breaks down during an emergency landing by a Canberra. Winston rapidly repairs it. The approval of his superiors denotes his new maturity. He has come to realise the raison d’etre of the technician: “Keep the hardware in the skies.”
