"Combat!" Revisited

When I was first bitten by the collector bug, there were two WWII series that I always watched: "Combat" and "The Gallant Men".  "Combat" had the more "realistic" German portrayal---at least then, in my teenage eyes.  

Now, 50 years of collecting behind me, I watch it much differently than then.  It's hilarious.  I see why dad found it so jaded.  Most of the Germans were of the cardboard variety, and the locals were soooo Southern Cali/LA.  I would like to see the Gallant Men again with the 4" breast eagles and the M16/17/18 helmets.  Can't believe how I loved those weekly installments.
