These guys are not mechanics, but rather diesel fitters. If those don't fit 'er, diesel fitter. 

 

Good to see we as a trade, were a little off the wall even back then. Must have something to do with the chemicals we are always using.

Absolutely!I spent ages knee-deep in brake/clutch cleaner,avgas and solvents...:P

as a maintainer, we usually reserved the bigger hammers for the operators. Some of the complains and problems these numpties created were beyond belief.
