The 120mph chase and stop

Well at last I had been given a nice new toy to play with, a 1.6 RS Ford Escort,It was our Divisional Area car, and because I was now an Advanced Driver, I drove it every time on my shift which started an hour later that the rest of my mates. You had a much bigger area to patrol, more serious incidents to attend and was a first responder. plus you had an oppo, normally another experienced copper or even a probationer on attachment. I was sitting on a overhead bridge looking down onto a major road that runs out of London ,north up to Cambridge. We saw a car racing up the outside lane going like a bat out of hell, we clocked him at 120mph, so we gave chase. Now it takes a while for a Police vehicle to "catch up" but because you are using blues and two,s, people get out of the way pretty sharpish. We chased this motor for a good 4 miles , but he was still making ground on us. We were doing about 110-115mph due to all the gear we had to carry on board. For some reason he started to slow down and then eventually pulled over. I pulled up behind and went to speak to the driver. The car was a White BMW saloon and if memory serves was pretty new. I spoke to the driver, He was a very smartly dressed black man and spoke with a heavy Nigerian accent. I asked him if he knew the speed limits, he nodded He didn,t have his licence on him ,so I  checked with the Police National Computer , and it stated he was,nt disqualified, and the vehicle was completely legal as he had  Insurance so all I had to do was report him for excess speed, which for that amount over the top could well earn him a disqualification for a year. As I was writing him up I gave him a caution, and he said "I,m sorry, I should,nt have been driving,as I,m disqualified",I thought that was strange and told him he was,nt , He actually started to argue with me, so I went back and checked again, same result. I asked him what court and when did he lose his licence, He told me a week ago, I asked what court, He said "Oh no it was,nt at a court, "I was stumped, He went on" A Metropolitan Police officer stopped me last week, for speeding, he took my licence, tore it up ,threw it in the air and told me I was disqualified" I had to walk away, sometimes other Forces could make your job very difficult but very entertaining.
