My mates aunt died a right few years ago, and he was left many great things...this was lying under her bed...after much research on it, we both decided it was a 1796 Pattern, Light Cavalry Sabre...c/w horse harness, and as such, in those days they could be sold on the Bay...it was, to a Doctor collector in the Carlisle area for app £270...If I'd had the money, I'd have paid that for it myself and kept it.

In not bad condition, nowadays I tend to think it was an item from the Great War, as the leather was in such good condition. What d'you think @Ham & Jam ??

I just "refound" the pictures today...:)
