This is my second, but first complete original. The first one was a post war chomed job made into a knife. A friend told me that there was a company in 1946 that was doing that and selling them to the public. But I must say these feel good in the hand dont they? Henri
Nice one, mate! But I am wondering: are originals hard to get in the U.S.A. ? Had a bunch for sale a while ago. If I remember correct I had about 10 or 12 short versions with different maker marks, some dated, some cut backs from WW1 versions, bowie style cut, etc. Would need to check, but I think I have 1 or 2 short versions and a couple of long versions.

Henri
@Bil4338 Still do have some of them and then mainly the long versions! These are rare, also over here, and priced much higher then the short versions.

Fabulous @Henri! I'm actually looking for a long one in addition to my short.

Utah Bob
The M1905 Springfield model with the 16" blade is generally harder to find these days and bring a higher price. One reason is that so many were cut down to 10" for the Garand before they began to manufacture the short blades in the 42-43 models. There are some marked "E"that were made for Greece.
