Alan
WW1 Imperial German Kugels. Kugelhandgranate ("ball hand grenade"). From left to right- 2 model 1913 Kugels ( note wider central frag ring far left), then rare transitional model ( looks like a Terry's chocolate orange!?), lastly a model 1915 kugel. There are at least 2 more variants, perhaps many more. These were heavy defensive grenades. 2nd photo shows with a 1917 Egg grenade which was smaller and could be thrown considerably further. Thanks for looking.
