DAK D
Hi @Now and Then Army Surplus, Well this is an interestiing blouse, as it appears to be made from heavy duty tropical twill that looks like the type used on LW blue tropical uniform items, but the cut and style is a bit different. Are there any size/Manufacturer markings? Please take some better photos of the inside, under the collar, breast pockets, belt hook holes and the the keyhole work for the buttons. Can you also photo the Selvedge area, that runs along the inside seam at the back? D Edited August 5, 2016 by DAK D
Davejb
Could this be one of the Italian made tropical twill blouses , I believe Manu posted something similar a while back

Manu Della Valle
Looks like the fabric used for the pre-War WSS work tunics! I cannot say anything by these pictures alone but I'd say that it's a good first-model HBT combat tunic!Any traces of insigna onthe left arm or on the chest? The deails we want to see are all there BUT,and here's the BIGGEST BUT of THEM ALL....these tunics are currently being made to the highest standard in Austria and Czech Republic/Slovakia,in fact they're chockfull of "hidden" details made to deceive!I don't want to say that this one could be a fake (I seldom if EVER use the term "repro"!) but its story could help! Going by the pictures it looks 99,9999999999999999999999999999999999% good from where I sit though! Cheers Manu Edited August 8, 2016 by Manu Della Valle
Field Marshall Lenny Posted August 18, 2016 Field Marshall Share Posted August 18, 2016 @Manu Della Valle, @DAK D, @Davejb I've now got this tunic in hand. It's pretty nice, but the buttons are repro. SS in a diamond, and a known fake button. Saying that, have seen them for sale online as real. Gut feeling is it's been found empty of all insignia and the veteran has added the buttons. Maybe also the shoulder straps, which are SS Field Police. Overall I'm happy with it, see newer pics in next topic. ??
