DAK D Posted January 1, 2017 Share Posted January 1, 2017 (edited) Hi All, Here are some photos of a super 1940 dated Heer tropical buckle manufactured by Gustav Brehmer in 1940. The buckle was souvenired by a South African Soldier in North Africa. The first batch of buckles made in 1940 were sent to Tripolis with the 5th Light Division (Changed to 21 Panzer Division) along with other uniform items and some 1940 dated uniform items were still being issued to the DAK in 1942. Note Olive Green 1941 dated buckles made by Gustav Brehmer are probably part of the second contract in early 1941. The field Grey painted GB ones are from later in 1941.
