U.S. WW2 Army 8th AAF Service Tunic

Recommended Posts

U.S. WW2 8th AAF Service tunic. U.S. and AAF EM collar discs. Also, has 3 place ribbon bar (Air Medal ribbon with 2 oak leaves, good conduct medal ribbon, and EAME Campaign Ribbon with 3 stars) over left pocket and Presidental Unit citation ribbon bar over the right pocket. Nice custom center re-enforcement over the belt area of uniform (I do not typically see this and a very nice custom addition). Pair of Staff Sergeant rank sleeve insignia. Also, has AAF shoulder sleeve insignia on the upper left sleeve and 8th AAF shoulder sleeve insignia on the right upper sleeve. U.S. WW2 Set of 4 overseas stripes (or service bars) on lower left sleeve. Each stripe represents 6 months' service in a combat zone. This group of four would represent 2 years of service in a combat zone. Tag is size marked 37L and contract dated 1941/1942. Average worn and used condition with some minor moth nips and/or snags. Shirt and tie utilized for display only and does not come with the tunic.

Shoulder width: 19"
Chest: 19"
Sleeve: 24"
Back length: 31"
