Billing was apart of Operation Greif during the Battle of the Bulge and was captured near Aywaille on 17 December 1944 after he and his comrades failed to give the correct password...at least that's what the caption on my sample reads! Davejb Posted July 17, 2016 Share Posted July 17, 2016 Yep, part of Otto Skorzeny,s special action squad Panzer Brigade 150, dress like American soldiers, speak like them, sent behind the Allied lines to disrupt communications, seize the bridges over the river Meuse , mislead troops and divert transports.
