  1. Some detail of the Heer 1st pattern Tropenhelm. Since the leather edging is gone, gives us a chance to see a little of the cork construction. I hope to replace that repro strap with original at some point. I realy should die it dark gray though(the repro strap that is).

  4. So, what exactly was the 1 Fallschirmjaeger MG Bn up to in the spring of 1943 for Franz to earn the EK2? Some sort of Partisan action perhaps? Hopped on the last rubber ducky out of Tunisia? I haven't had much luck in drilling down the timeline of this Bn during this period. Also, can anyone point me to examples of Kurt Student's signature? I presume someone signed for him or autopenned this document, as I can't imagine him being bothered with such a task. It's an actual signature and not a stamp or print. Thanks for any help or comments.

  5. Hi All Thought I would share pictures of my War Room. 95% of what you see I have recovered and preserved myself from WW2 sites around the UK, (with a few bits from Europe.....but from a while ago as I've not been digging there for a long time), as well as purchases from carboot sales and the like. Everything you see is completely inert and contain no explosive or propellent of any kind, and everything abides by current UK firearms legislation. All items have been recovered with documented landowners permission. How you enjoy looking at my little museum.....

  6. Evening all. I have graciously consented to join your forum. I will attempt to spread my Antipodean magnificence around as much as possible. Females ought to be made aware that I produce stupendous quantities of testosterone. Come closer than 50 meters and you will immediately fall pregnant. Best Regards, Ted

  10. I have been racking my brains as to where I ve seen something like that before, a Kinderhelm, its been so long since I,ve seen one, a young kid who I used to play war with many moons ago had one, we all had helmets of some sort, British ,German ,Japanese, French, American, I think we were about 10-11 years old, and most of our Fathers had brought something home from the war, dumped them in sheds or attics, until we found them, one kid had a very nice SS helmet DD, I had a battle worn Type 90 still with the cloth strapping and a couple of American M1s,two M42s and loads of Brit tin hats, my next door neighbours dad brought back an M37 with the older style eagle and tri-colour, but it was pretty battered but looked good if memory serves me correct, one funny thing that I remember was that the kid with the Kinderhelm had the only helmet that fitted, the rest of us kept holding onto ours ha ha, its a shame you got rid of it they are rare as rocking horse ka ka poo poo
