  1. Very nice, untouched tunic belonging to a GJ Uffz.It would be near mint if it wasn't for the stain on the right upper pocket flap and the right shoulder piece.A friend of mine is sure that it's blood, it could well be but it could be something else, even if it could really be blood from a light wound to the soldier face/ear/head or from a wounded Comrade he may have helped out of trouble,we'll never know! Cheers Manu

  5. Hi All, Here are some photos of my 1940 Lago Berlin made tropical peaked cap and it is about as DAK as you can get. The original owners name is written inside the cap. These early caps are extremely sort after and the prices are very high right now. This cap has an early type of tropical cockade and an not often seen smaller size early tropical cap eagle. D

  6. Hi All, Here is an really nice combat worn Heer tropical belt and buckle set that I received yesterday, it has been shortened from 105cm to about 90cm. The webbing tab on the buckle is in the less common tan/ginger shade. D

  8. This visor was brought home after 1945 and given to his mother by Ardis W. Kelley (Silver Star, Bronze Star, Purple Heart Winner). He was in the Battle of Normandy-Northern France-Rhineland-and Central Europe. When he passed in the early 1970's I obtained the visor and have had it In protective glass cover for over 40 years. It has very little mothing and has never been handled to speak of after I obtained it. The red or pink piping has faded slightly but one German Forum member who I let see it in museum felt that the piping was probably pink (Motor Div) . I have never seen another like this in the U.S. but they probably are more common in Germany or Europe. He told me that the visor would have been worn by a mid level or low level leader.I am certainly not an authority on visors but I do know it is authentic .I will include several photos that I took of it. 9. This K98k has seen action and it was imported from Eastern Europe 20 years ago together with 400 others.Amongst them there were rare "98s" like WSS ones and a few 1945 "dou" with fixed rear sights, but the importer rightly reserved them for himself and his collection! This BSW isn't 100% matching but it COULD be considered matching in that either at the armoury or at the factory its bolt has been swapped for another from the same maker! How do I know?Because WaA4 is only found on BSW made weapons and its very unlikely that given the low numbers of rifles made in 1939 by this factory (only 0,419% on a total offer than 14 millions K98k produced,i.e. only one out of 200 rifles was a 1939 BSW!) there were many to tamper with after the War!Given the fact that amongst these Mausers there wwere a few WSS Totenkopf-stamped ones and that they had been found in the same crates where they had been upon their capture,I wouldn't be surprised at all if they were rifles used by a WSS unit, even if there's a H(for Heere) stamped on the side of the stock and on the pistol grip!To be perfectly honest it's only speculation because I don't give a hoot about "Einrich's Gang"! All in all a very nice,SHOOTING,been-there K98k!

  12. WW2 Italian jumper of the style worn by the German and RSI soldiers in Northern Italy. The size is XXX,which means REAL SMALL!A small stash of these and other wool items was found many years ago in an old small barracks in Northern Italy but it was almost totally ruined and eaten by mice, few things survived and this is one of these!

  13. They're absolutely rare and were used by the RSI and the Germans.A few of these jumpers were brought to one of Italy's major militaria fairs in the early 90s and they were sold for £50 each.Few knew what they were,I only bought some because I had two or three already but with hindsight I'd have bought the hole bundle! Now the same money wouldn't give you a single button,at least in Italy. The downside was/is that they were all of a very small size,at least the ones in that bundle. They are quite similar to a particular Regio Esercito jumper but the latter had a drawstring at the neck! The buttons are made of some kind of plastic made with ox horns and hooves, exactly like many buttons used by the Germans from 1943 onwards. . Cheers Manu

  17. Yes they are super @Afrikakorpsrat64 I have seen these before somewhere Notice how then length has been shortened when these were made in 1942, but the ones made in 1940 were the same length as British KD shorts. D

  26. As said already, that horrendous liner really spoils a nice helmet and it would be a lot nicer as a Collectable without it.its your lid, and your call entirely, but I'd be inclined to let the shell speak for itself...

  28. Yes, and this clown, I kid you not, was at an estate sale with the other kind of funny cool older fellow somewhere near Santa Ana when I lived there. I had been living on Netflix for the previous two years and had no idea who they were until someone said so. Anyway, Mr. Yuuuuup! asked me what I was there for and I told him the Japanese sword. Some kind of smart azz remark that he'd offer 500- or something ridiculous. I said "knock yourself out or buy the same thing all day long on Ebay for half the price. Both him and the other guy seemed miffed that I had no idea who they were. Wasn't til a year later when I saw them on TV and thought that I shot down both of those egos one beautiful California morning without even knowing it.

  33. Yeah I knew it was repainted post war. You're actually the first person to tell me its a brand new fake liner. The liner doesn't take away from it too much for me. I got it mainly for the shell. The liner pins I am not sure.

  34. I keep saying I,m gonna change mine in every August when the new models come out ,but they keep making them faster, and these continental models, you just cant understand the instructions or how fast their internal combustion works, plus the costs of upkeep is ridiculous, mind you their boots are quite large so you can get a lot in, but I do like a smaller glove box so you dont lose your hand when rooting around in there, also a decent rear view helps. The instrument panel is also important, nice round large dials, buttons that can be easily turned plus upholstery that is neat and tidy and easy to clean

  37. And yes, tours are available. You need to allow at least 3 hours and there is no charge.......except for people who call it scrap. For them, there is.

  38. Thanks guys. Scrap? SCRAP??!!!! What a cheek. Difference between the relics I've recovered, (apart from the corrosion ), and stuff you can buy is simple. Firstly, I know where every item was found and so know who used it.......what unit, and in some cases what individual. Secondly, a lot of my collection is unique. I defy anyone to go out there and buy, for instance, a sliding radio shelf from a P51B.....or how about a trigger for a Besa MG.........or perhaps a grenade discharger cup adapter for a P14.......exhaust manifold for a Mosquito night fighter.........a canopy release catch from a Spitfire........ I could go on all night! Not forgetting, the history of each item is intact. The last person to touch what I find was somebody involved in the conflict. oh.....and all the stuff I dig costs me nothing. Soapbox moment over.......and BREATHE.....
