Leaderboard

Hello, I have a USMC Robeson Shuredge knife that I'm fairly sure is from the WW2 era. And I would like some input as to whether or not I should leave it in it's current state, or restore it to as close to original as possible. The knife is in tough shape, as you can see from the pictures. The blade is pitted and worn, the handle is missing pieces of the leather disks and the ones that are left are very dry and brittle. Please give me some helpful pointers as to what would be best for this veteran!
