  1. Ok folks, the old sales area has been switched off. Not in use any more, although there weren't any live ads in it anyway. The new sales area is here... https://www.themilitaria.shop it's not quite ready to go, but if you sign up to our newsletter you'll be the first to know when it goes live in the next few weeks. I'm hoping for Dec 28th which is the 19th anniversary of the MCN in it's present form. https://www.themilitaria.shop/newsletter/ sales and ebay style auctions... Cheers, Lenny

  2. I'm afraid hardly anyone visits here anymore... Everyone seems to want chat on Facebook, and to be honest, it's a lot more convenient.

  3. On another forum dedicated to M1 carbines, I posted this picture of the US Army (163d Reg. Combat Team, 41st Inf. Div.) hitting the Aitape, PNG beach 22 April 1944. It's a very clear photo which clearly show the soldier's gear. Another forum member (very observant) spotted the wedding ring on the 2nd soldier's lft hand. That is quite sad & it shows the un-reported cost of war. Even if this guy survived the war, his wife/ family certainly experienced the anxiety of never knowing where he was or how he was doing.

  7. I hope that someone on MCN reads this, for one of the Bravest Resistance Operatives from "The Comete Line" Belgium....During WW2. And that she alone escorted over 200 Allied Airmen and evaders from Brussels to Angelet, then over the Pyrenees with her Basques Guide Florentino or Franco (sometimes taking 12 - 24 + hours)....To reach the Spanish border and hand them over to the next member.....In all weathers, Rain, Snow, Heat of Summer, icy cold winds....She was a Heroine of WW2.. I Admire and Respect you Sincerely "Lily" (her code Name) and I Will Miss You and will Not Forget Your Bravery and Courage given Freely to assist all these Brave Men and Boys to Reach Freedom......Ian R Bridle
