  1. Hello everyone, this is my first post here. Does anyone recognise these shoulder board fittings? They're on a mystery leather coat, which I think is German or Austrian, WW2 or soon after. It had Wehrmacht-style pebbled buttons when I bought it. (I swapped them for Coldstream Guards ones.) Could the metal things in the photos be shoulder board attachments? There's a pair on each shoulder, near the collar.

  2. Some WW2 German Tropical (Tropenhelm/pith helmet) shields. Pictured are, Heer (Army), Kriegsmarine (Gold eagle, flat shields) and Luftwaffe with early style Eagle. Shields were used on 1st and 2nd pattern helmets as well as captured or foreign made/German used helmets such as the Dutch. And here is a even a photo of Rommel (The Dessert Fox) wearing a Tropenhelm.

  3. Newly arrived and a perfect fit to the display. Nice early Tropical canteen. 41 dated in really nice shape and the lovely large quart size. Real happy with this one.
